Five Act Interview Script:

  1. A friendly Welcome:

Me: ” Hello, my name is Michael. May I get your name?”

” It is pretty crummy outside, I hope you are warm and dry.”

” Thank you for meeting. We are always trying to get more critical feedback on our product.”

” We will start with a few questions about your background and then we will dive into the product. Do you have any questions?”

2. Content Questions:

Me: ” Where do you normally do your shopping, online, or at a mall, in a magazine?”

” Do you have any hobbies? If so what are they?”

” How often do you fly?”

” What is your line of work?”

” Have you used a similar app, and how much did it cost if so?”

3. Introduce the Prototype:

Me: ” Would you like to look at our prototype?”

” Some bugs may not be worked out yet. Don’t be discouraged, that is what the test is for.”

” There is no right or wrong answers.”

” Don’t be afraid to think out loud.”

4. Tasks and Nudges:

Me: ” Let’s say you saw the navigation app online, how would you try it or find out if you wanted to buy it?

” Where is the compass?”

” What does the ‘log’ button do?”

” How do you get to the ‘log’ screen?”

” Where is the submit button?”

5. Quick Debrief:

Me: ” How does the app compare to how you regularly fill out your Flight Navigation and Log plan?”

” What did you like about this product?”

” What would you change about this product?”

” Was the test a comfortable experience?”

” Thank you for participating!”
